About This Project
A personal counseling website concept exploring how a mental health practice can feel more professional, welcoming and easier to navigate.
It is not a client project. I created the Citrus Grove Counseling concept independently to demonstrate my approach to visual design, content structure, responsive UX, and user-focused website experiences.
Why I Created It
The Idea
A counseling website should help visitors feel comfortable enough to take the next step.
01
Calm
02
Credible
03
Intuitive
Design Goals
Every section should answer a question or guide a decision.
01
Establish a Strong First Impression
The homepage should immediately communicate the counseling practice and create a welcoming first interaction with the visitor.
02
Clarify Who the Practice Helps
Visitors should quickly understand who the counseling practice serves and whether the available support may be relevant to them.
03
Make Counseling Services Easy to Explore
Service information should be organized logically so visitors can discover the available counseling options without unnecessary searching.
04
Build Trust Through Presentation
A consistent visual system and clear communication can create a stronger sense of professionalism before a visitor ever makes contact.
05
Make Mobile Browsing Comfortable
The experience should remain easy to read, navigate and interact with across smartphones, tablets and desktop devices.
06
Create Clear Next Steps
Calls-to-action should be easy to recognize so visitors know how to move forward when they are ready to contact the practice.

My Design Thinking
Design should make the counseling practice easier to understand.
Visual Hierarchy
Content is prioritized visually so visitors can quickly identify the most important information on each page.
Content Organization
Information is grouped into meaningful sections that are easier to scan and understand.
User Journey
The website follows the natural questions a potential counseling client may have before making contact.
Human-Centered Design
The visual direction aims to feel supportive and approachable rather than overly clinical or generic.
Responsive Experience
The layout is designed to remain comfortable and functional across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
Clear Calls-to-Action
Strategic calls-to-action help visitors recognize their next option without creating unnecessary pressure.
A concept showing how a counseling website can feel polished and professional while remaining calm, approachable and easy to navigate.
